Although it's already Monday (1am) around here, it's never too late to share these two little short films by the one and only Karl Lagerfeld.
"Once Upon a Time", the first short of the series, captures Gabrielle Chanel's beginning in the world of fashion. Set in circa 1913, at Coco's first store in Deauville, the film captures the interactions of the stylish ladies of the time with Chanel and her store, as well as the inspiration for her most iconic designs.
The second short movie (and the one I enjoyed the most) is "The Return". In this film, Karl focuses on Coco's comeback in the fashion world, after a fifteen year hiatus.
Even though the content isn't very dense, and even though some dialogues might appear a bit awkward, these shorts are undeniably beautiful to the eye, with all those marvellous period costumes and allure. After all, they are the product of the king of style and fashion.
