In A Galaxy, Far, Far Away....

Lucky Draw is quite a  popular game (or activity, call it what you want) here in Macau. It's done in parties, big dinners, shops, hotels, restaurants, casinos and I have a feeling that you might even find Lucky Draws in weddings around here...

It's practically part of the culture.

Anyway, last Summer, at a 4th of July barbecue event, I won a one night stay in a big casino-hotel in the city. I guess luck runs in the family, as my mom also won that same night. C'est cool!

Time passed, I went back to Europe for the Summer, than moved back to Beijing, and I only remembered that I had this coupon two days before its expiry date.

Luckily, they let us move the date forward and we ended up going there yesterday.

We got to the check-in counter, and guess what. Luck hadn't run out yet. We were upgraded to a SUITE! A high roller gambler suite! How sweet!!! (Get it? Hmm..)

The room was gigantic and equipped with a closet room, a living room, a bedroom, two bathrooms and a free minibar. Oh! And a sort of pant pressing machine.

We got there at around 7pm with plans for going out for dinner. With all this, we decided to stay in for a while and have a little aperitif before heading to a restaurant. Wouldn't you?

So here's our suite:

It took us forever to chose a restaurant to go to. The options were endless.
However, even with all the different type of cuisines we had to choose from, we decided to remain very basic and went to an italian restaurant instead. Pizza and pasta rarely disappoint.

We ended the night with a little trip to a whisky bar next door. The Macallan.
He ordered an old fashioned whisky, she ordered a gin and tonic. Some things never change.
